Families with loving homes are desperately wanted for children with special needs in Bulgaria. They suffer diseases and have medical conditions that make them “unattractive”. Very few families, if any, are open to adopting them. These kids will be doomed if they don’t get adopted. Their whole lives would be spent in specialized institutions and they would be robbed of the right that every human being has – to be loved and live in a permanent family set. Their potential would never be realized.

The Bulgarian Ministry of Justice ("MOJ") publishes on a regular basis a list of the special needs children currently available for international adoption. So far the list has been in the Bulgarian language only. It is believed that in the future the MOJ shall start publishing this list in English too. Until then, you can download the translation of the current list here. This list also contains children with Down Syndorme. These children are not just special needs. They are also very special because they are Abba’s kids and their heavenly Father loves them and cares for them more than any of us does and can even imagine. Jesus is their complete source. He is faithful and His promises are true – He "sets the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6).


Abba’s Kids Ministry of Dreams Foundation exists to be one of God’s tools for placing these special children in their forever families by the way of international adoption. It anchors itself firmly on universal Christian values and Biblical guidelines that serve as a foundation for its mission, faith, vision and devotion. Abba’s Kids primarily serves children in difficult conditions – physical, mental, developmental.


Mission statement:

Our chief objective is to promote special needs children adoption with the end view of placing them in nurturing and loving families. We exist to serve in the process of uniting Abba’s kids with their forever families under God’s leading and while strictly abiding by the Bible principles. Abba’s Kids shall strive to maintain an atmosphere of warmth and care throughout the process believing that in doing so it will exhibit the receiving of the respective family and the child they adopt in the big Abba’s Kids' Family.


Statement of faith:

We believe that Jesus Christ has the best interest of the special needs children in His heart. He is their true Protector: “He defends the cause of the fatherless.” (Deuteronomy 10:18). We also believe that God planned with great love in His heart the lives of His special kids before the Creation and He shall carry it out to finish. Jesus, according to His immense knowledge and wisdom, leads every child on the right path, to the right family, in the right time.


 


Vision statement:

Abba’s Kids shall strive to place children that may never be adopted. We shall provide the highest level of service in international adoptions and maintain a high degree of competence of our staff; we shall always place foremost the best interest of the child and shall act in the manner prescribed by the Scriptures. We shall endeavor making a difference one child at a time using unique approach to each Abba’s kid. Even though a Christian Ministry, Abba's Kids shall in no way have discriminating policy toward families who do not profess Christianity, but have good moral standards and are approved by the US authorities to adopt internationally.

 

Statement of devotion:

Accomplishing a special needs child adoption is only within God's power. From human point of view it could only be compared to David killing Goliath with a small stone and a sling. Therefore, Abba's Kids Ministry gives all the glory, for every child gone home, to the One who ingeniously planned it, executed it and brought it to finish - Jesus Christ. Any praise for each adoption should go to Calvary.
